Corona Regional Medical Center is taking a critical step towards the prevention of healthcare worker injuries by updating safety technology

"Our nursing staff provides a critical service to our institution and to our community.  We are committed to protecting their safety, said Kevan Metcalfe, Interim Chief Executive Officer.  Converting to the latest in safety blood collection technology is part of our ongoing efforts to promote a safe work environment."

About BD Vacutainer® Push Button Blood Collection Sets
The BD Vacutainer® Push Button Blood Collection Set is the only retractable winged steel needle device for blood collection. The safety-engineered device is designed to be activated while in the patient's vein. The push-button safety mechanism allows one-handed in-vein activation while still attending to the patient’s venipuncture site, providing easier, safer blood collection for the healthcare worker with no compromise to patient care.
